Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

FeedBay is operated by Aaron Krall, 1927 S 1550 W, Woods Cross, UT 84087, United States. For questions about this policy or your data, write to support@feedbay.io.

There are two distinct roles in this policy. For account data of our customers, we decide how it is used. For survey responses, the customer who created the survey decides what is asked and why — they are responsible for that data, and we process it on their behalf.

2. What we collect

From customers

  • Name and email address, and a hashed password (we never store it in readable form).
  • If you sign in with Google, the profile details Google returns for that sign-in.
  • Surveys you build, including any images and branding you upload.
  • Purchase records: what was bought, when, and the payment identifier from Stripe.

From survey respondents

  • The answers submitted.
  • The time of submission and which channel the survey was opened from.
  • The respondent’s IP address and browser user-agent string. These are used to prevent duplicate and abusive submissions and to derive an approximate country for reporting.

To work out the country we use the third-party service ipwho.is, and we do not send the full address to it. The address is truncated to its network prefix first — the last part is replaced with zeros — so the lookup identifies a network, not a person. The full address stays on our own servers and is used only for the duplicate and abuse checks described above.

If you run surveys with FeedBay, tell your respondents that this happens — under many legal regimes an IP address counts as personal data.

3. Payment data

Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and never reach our servers. From Stripe we receive the buyer’s email address, the amount, and an identifier for the payment, which we use to credit the purchase to the right account and to handle refunds and disputes. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy.

4. Why we use it

  • To provide the service — hosting surveys, storing answers, showing reports.
  • To take payment and honour refunds.
  • To keep the service secure and to detect abuse and fraudulent submissions.
  • To send service messages such as password resets and purchase confirmations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use survey answers to build advertising profiles.

5. Who else sees it

We share data only with providers that make the service work:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • ipwho.is — turning a truncated IP prefix into an approximate country. It never receives a full address.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
  • Our email provider — delivering service emails you have asked for.
  • Our hosting provider — running the servers and storing the database and uploaded files.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. How long we keep it

Account and survey data is kept while your account exists. Deleted surveys are held in an archive so they can be restored, and are removed permanently after that period. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal data except where we must retain it by law.

7. Security

Traffic to FeedBay is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us promptly at support@feedbay.io if you believe an account has been compromised.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to some processing. Write to support@feedbay.io and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you answered someone else’s survey and want that answer removed, contact the organisation that ran the survey — they control it. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will pass the request on.

9. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to run the service: keeping you signed in and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Children

FeedBay is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

11. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced by email or in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
